Les images et vidéos contredisent toutes versions officielles. Ceci n'est pas de la propagande Islamique. Ceci n'est pas un appel au JIHAD. Il s'agit de se demander pourquoi il y a des guerres injustes sur terre ? Et Censored31 apporte les réponses essentielles. Ce n'est donc pas l'apologie pour le terrorisme, un mot qui fait d'ailleurs tout avaler sans broncher, un mot qui fait tout voter, même le massacre de millions d'enfants, hommes et femmes libre. The former head of Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, Asad Durrani said in an interview with Press TV that Blackwater, a notorious US security firm, is carrying out operations in the country.
His comments came after the US Central intelligence Agency (CIA) revealed that Blackwater, which currently works under the name Xe Services, has been involved in drone attacks in Pakistan.
The CIA said the private security company has been loading bombs on US drones that target suspected militants in Pakistan. The attacks, according to Pakistani media, kill civilians as well.
General Durrani, however, said the group may be involved in actions that destabilize the country.
"My assessment is that they [Blackwater agents] — either themselves or most probably through others, through the locals — do carry out some of the explosions," he said.
"The idea is to carry out such actions, like carrying attacks in the civilian areas to make the others look bad in the eyes of the public."

Surnommé « Dr. Flu », le professeur Albert Osterhaus, de l'Université Erasmus à Rotterdam en Hollande a été désigné par les chercheurs et les médias Hollandais comme l’homme étant au centre de l'hystérie mondiale autour de la pandémie de grippe H1N1. Osterhaus s’avère être la plaque tournante du réseau international pharmaceutique, apparenté à une véritable Mafia. Mais il est également le conseiller en chef de l'OMS pour les questions de grippe et aurait profité de sa position pour engranger pour son profit personnel des milliards d’Euros en vaccins soi disant pour guérir la grippe H1N1.
Plus tôt cette année, la Seconde Chambre du Parlement Hollandais a ouvert une enquête sur le Dr. Osterhaus pour conflit d’intérêt et malversations financières. Ce ne seraient pas ses compétences scientifiques qui sont remises en question, mais le fait de s’être servi, selon le très réputé magazine Science, de la soi-disant pandémie de grippe H1N1, pour servir ses propres intérêts et ceux des entreprises privées pharmaceutiques.
Voici la brève note publiée par Science à propos du Dr. Osterhaus le 16 Octobre 2009:
« Au cours des 6 derniers mois, on pouvait difficilement allumer sa télévision aux Pays Bas sans voir le visage du célèbre chasseur de virus, Albert Osterhaus, parler de la pandémie de grippe porcine. Ou du moins c’est ce qu’il nous a semblé. Osterhaus, qui dirige un laboratoire de virologie internationalement renommé au Centre Médical Erasmus, a été le Monsieur Grippe (Mr. Flu). Mais la semaine dernière, sa réputation en a pris un coup après qu’il ait été accusé de jouer sur la peur de la pandémie pour favoriser ses propres intérêts commerciaux dans la mise au point de vaccin. Etant donné que « Science » est allé voir la presse, la Chambre des Représentants Hollandaise a même lancé en urgence un débat à ce sujet. »
Mais dès le 3 Novembre, le scandale était déjà maîtrisé, la Chambre des Représentants ayant refusé de demander au Dr. Osterhaus de couper tout lien avec le Centre Médical Erasmus. Pire encore, le Ministre de la Santé Hollandais, Ab Klink, un ami personnel du Dr. Osterhaus, pour noyer le poisson, a demandé à tous les scientifiques d’annoncer leurs liens avec le secteur privé. Il a minimisé l’affaire disant que le Dr. Osterhaus n’était qu’un conseiller auprès du gouvernement parmi d’autres et que ces liens avec le secteur privé était parfaitement connu et ne sortait en rien de l’ordinaire.
Le Dr. Osterhaus est un gros poisson. Au cours des 2 dernières décennies, il a été au cœur de toutes les apparitions de virus à travers le monde. En 2003, au summum de la panique liée au SRAS, il a été engagé par l’OMS et comme à chaque fois, c’est comme s’il connaissait déjà toutes les réponses à l’avance, voila ce que conclue un rapport de l’UE à son sujet:
« Il a une fois de plus montré sa compétence à avancer rapidement pour aborder un grave problème. Dans un délai de trois semaines, il a prouvé que cette maladie a été provoquée par un syndrome respiratoire aigu grave, tout nouvellement découvert, qui réside chez les chats ou les civettes et chez d'autres animaux carnivores [comme les chauves-souris]. »
En 1997, après la mort d’un enfant de 3 ans par le virus H5N1, censé avoir été en contact avec des oiseaux, le Dr. Osterhaus a sauté sur l’affaire et a actionné ses lobbies en Hollande et en Europe pour faire monter la panique qu’une mutation du virus H5N1 a été transmis vers l’homme, il s’est ensuite vanté d’être le premier scientifique à avoir prouvé que le virus H5N1 pouvait se transmettre à l’homme.
Sa campagne de panique autour du H5N1 a réellement commencé à décoller en 2005 après avoir lié la mort d’un vétérinaire Allemand au virus H5N1. Il a alors réussi à convaincre le gouvernement Allemand d’abattre toute la volaille en Allemagne. Aucune autre victime du H5N1 n’avait par la suite été déplorée, ce qu’il a imputé à l’éviction des volailles.
En 2005, il déclare sur BBC : « … si le virus réussi effectivement à subir une mutation de telle manière qu'il puisse se transmettre d'homme à homme, alors la situation serait complètement différente, nous pourrions être au début de la pandémie. »
Osterhaus a indiqué que les excréments d’oiseaux étaient à l’origine de la contamination, mais après analyse de 100 000 échantillons d’excréments d’oiseaux, pas un seul cas de H5N1 n’a été détecté. Aucune contamination de masse par le H5N1 n’a été observée, mais au passage, Roche et GlaxoSmithKline & Co ont vendu pour des milliards de médicaments Tamiflu et Relenza.
En Avril 2009, après qu’un enfant ait été diagnostiqué au Mexique comme étant porteur du H1N1, la directrice de l’OMS, Margaret Chan, a aussitôt déclaré « l’état d’urgence pandémique ». La prevision de pandémie de longue date, répété à plusieurs reprises par le Dr. Osterhaus finit par voir le jour. Le 11 Juin 2009, Maragret Chan a déclaré l’alerte pandémique de niveau 6, la plus haute possible, impliquant que l’OMS a autorité sur les Etats signataires (192 dans le monde) de l’OMS,les obligeant à lancer une campagne de vaccination de masse. Bizarrement dans son discours Margaret Chan déclare tout de même :
« Sur la base des preuves actuelles, une majorité écrasante des patients éprouvent des symptômes doux et ont un rétablissement rapide et complet, souvent en l'absence de toute forme de traitement médical. », ajoutant que « dans le monde entier, le nombre de décès est faible… nous ne nous attendons pas à voir un bond soudain et dramatique dans le nombre d'infections graves ou mortelles. »
Voila qui est bien contradictoire et suscite des questions sur les véritables raisons qui ont motivé sa décision.
En effet, il s’est avéré par la suite que Mme Chan a pris sa décision selon l’avis émis par le groupe d’experts de l’OMS, le Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE), dont le Dr. Osterhaus est l’expert clé, par ailleurs également Président du European Scientific Working group on Influenza (ESWI ). Ce qui est intéressant avec l’ ESWI c’est qu’il est financé exclusivement par les géants pharmaceutiques, également fabricants de vaccins : Novartis, Hofmann-La Roche, Baxter, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Pasteur et d’autres.
Le Dr. Osterhaus également le conseiller en chef pour les questions de virus pour le gouvernement Britannique et Hollandais, a émis ses craintes que le virus H1N1 pourrait muter en une forme proche du virus de la grippe Espagnole, jouant sur la peur, il a ainsi préconisé une vaccination de masse à travers le monde entier.
JP Morgan a estimé les profits tirés de la pandémie de grippe de 7.5 à 10 milliards de dollars.
Mais ce n’est pas tout, le Dr. Osterhaus compte parmi ses amis les docteurs Frederick Hayden et David Salisbury, tout également 2 membres du SAGE et Conseilleur auprès du gouvernement Britannique (tiens tiens encore !!!) et réputés pour être les plus fervent défenseurs des groupes pharmaceutiques. Voila un conseil d’experts qui semble bien impartial !!!! (ironie)
Dans une interview avec le magazine Allemand Der Spiegel, l’épidémiologiste Dr. Tom Jefferson de la Cochrane Collaboration, une organisation de scientifiques indépendants évaluant toutes les études ayant attrait à la grippe, a noté les implications de la privatisation de l'OMS et de la commercialisation de la santé :
« … une des caractéristiques extraordinaires de cette grippe -- et de toute la saga de grippe -- est qu’il y a certaines personnes qui font des prévisions année après année, et ils vont de pire en pire. Jusqu'ici, aucune de leurs prévisions ne s’est produit, et ces personnes sont toujours là à faire leurs prédictions. Par exemple, qu’est-il arrivé avec la grippe aviaire qui était censée tous nous tuer ? Rien. Mais cela n'a pas arrêté ces personnes à poursuivre leurs prévisions. Parfois vous avez le sentiment qu'il y a toute une industrie quasiment en attente qu’une pandémie se produise.
SPIEGEL : De qui voulez-vous parler? L'Organisation Mondiale de la Santé (OMS) ?
Jefferson : L'OMS et les hauts fonctionnaires de la Santé Publique, les virologues et les entreprises pharmaceutiques. Ils ont construit cette machine autour de la pandémie imminente. Et il y a beaucoup d'argent, d’influence, et de carrières, et d’établissements entiers impliqués ! …
Interrogé si l'OMS avait délibérément déclaré l'Urgence Pandémique afin de générer un énorme marché pour les vaccins H1N1 et les médicaments, Jefferson a répondu :
« Ne pensez-vous pas là est-vous quelque chose remarquable concernant le fait que l'OMS a changé sa définition de pandémie ? L’ancienne définition était un nouveau virus, qui circule rapidement, pour lequel on n’a aucune immunité, et qui génère une morbidité et un taux de mortalité élevés. Maintenant les deux dernières clauses ont été abandonnées, et voila comment la grippe porcine a été classée en tant que pandémie. »
Le parlementaire et président du Comité pour la Santé de la Douma Russe, Igor Barinow, a demandé au représentant russe de l'OMS à Genève d’ouvrir une enquête officielle sur les preuves croissante de la corruption massive de l'OMS par l'industrie pharmaceutique.
« Il y a de graves accusations de corruption au sein de l'OMS, » a déclaré Barinow. « Une Commission d'Enquête internationale est demandée en urgence. »
Depuis des décennies, les mêmes personnes, ou les mêmes groupes de personnes, travaillant pour les intérêts des compagnies pharmaceutiques et rémunérés très grassement (en millions de dollars) par ces mêmes compagnies, ne cessent d’annoncer des pandémies censées couter la vie à une grande partie de la population de la terre, à chaque fois, rien de cela ne se produit, par contre, les bénéfices de ces compagnies explosent à coup de milliards de dollars, grâce à la vente de vaccins et de médicaments antiviraux. La démission du Dr. Osterhaus ne changera rien, il n’est qu’un bouc émissaire parmi d’autres, c’est tout le système de l’OMS qu’il faut changer, ainsi que les organismes de la santé Publique des divers pays qui travaillent tous main dans la main pour les compagnies pharmaceutiques qui les rémunère et qui assure le succès de leurs carrière.

Since a couple of weeks, we have been confronted with amazing victories of Islamic rebels against the Yemen army but now...we have been confronted with horrible war crimes committed by the Yemeni government backed by the Saudi family, Tel Aviv and Washington?
The Houthis say they are revolting against government corruption and the Yemeni alliance with the US, Israel and the Saud family (NWO = New World Order). The government and the media said that they're shi'aa. Divide to conquer? Isn't that the strategy of Israel?
In the first video, you will see some innocent children being killed with biological weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
However, the Ministry of Defense reported on its website "26september.net" that it had "achieved qualitative success against the Houthis and their strongholds near the Saudi border. This Taghût calls it a qualitative success??? Killing innocent babies and children???
Another "reliable source" at the Ministry of Defense denied allegations circulated by the Houthis that the Saudi air force bombarded Al-Malahidh in Yemen. The source called those allegations baseless and false.
They claim it's baseless.
"These false allegations are baseless," the DoD source said. "We are familiar with the falsehoods that these elements and some supporting media outlets abroad circulate. They attempt to involve Saudi Arabia in the current confrontations -conducted by the Yemeni security and military forces and supported by citizens- against these elements to force them to surrender."
Houthi spokesman Sheikh Saleh Habra told the Yemen Times over the phone some months ago, "The situation is generally tragic in the governorate. The air force attacks villages, plantations, and water pumps as well as civilians, including women and children."
Pictures and new videos obtained by Censored31, is actually showing war crimes against innocent civilians and children too.

Negative response by American Allies and Coalition countries to send more troops to Afghanistan, forced Obama to take up the burden himself.
It is because a growing number of America’s Allies now believe the Afghan issue has no military solution.
Naming it a new strategy for Afghanistan, Obama is now trying to make it a success. It is his moribund attempt to fix the situation and put a clout on the sagging morale that their troops are suffering from and cover up the ground realities in Afghanistan for some time.
In less than one year that Obama has assumed the helms of affair, he was compelled to frame a new strategy for Afghanistan once again. Their bragging aside, the ground realities in Afghanistan speak otherwise. They have no control over the rural areas which, in our view, this tantamounts to America’s failure and fiasco in this ancient land of the Afghans. Rationally, he should not have repeated his already failed strategy by resorting to troops surge in Afghanistan. Rather, it would have been in the benefit of Washington if they had taken their decision in the light of the realities on ground .
Though, in his speech, while announcing the strategy, Obama admitted that they are not able to bear the burden of the war, and that wars expenditures in Afghanistan and Iraq had exceeded one trillion dollars; he also announced that American troops will start withdrawing from Afghanistan after 18 months. But still, the troops surge in itself is a sign of enmity of America and Obama with the people of Afghanistan.
The public of the world know that Obama and America got only caskets as consequence of their previous strategy for Afghanistan, particularly, during the past six months, not a day has passed in the past months, without death of dozens of invading soldiers. Documentary commentaries and analysis by media reveal that the past six months were some of the gruesome and sanguinary days for the Americans, Britains and their Allies. During this period, the forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan gained more strength and expanded control over vast swathe of land in the country.
Obama wants to continue his already failed strategy in a new shape and manner by sending 30, 0000 troops to Afghanistan. Some Allies of America agree with the Afghan people that the domineering arrogance of America must break into smithereens in Afghanistan. The unipolar mastership of America should be buried up in Afghanistan-- the graveyard of empires.
Therefore, America should re-ponder over the fate of former Soviet Union which had sent more troops to Afghanistan than the Americans have sent to the country. Their followers and surrogates were more in number and war-hardened than the America’s but Afghanistan has always proved to be a graveyard of the world’s invaders and colonialists. America should wait this crucial time for similar fate in the country. History always favored this people with the honor of laying the cornerstone of disintegration and fall of empires.
It is clear that Obama and his team want to intensify the war in Afghanistan and achieve their expansions goals in the region through the use of force. However, they should ponder over their atrocities and savageries in the past eight years and what they obtained as a result except that they gave rise to wrath and resentments of the Afghans and created growing sensitivities against the invading forces.
The Afghans are war-hardened people and are on guard against the machinations of the enemy. They have preparations for a good fight with the enemy in every part of the country. We believe that with the help of God (SwT), the new strategy of Obama will face failure and fiasco like the previous one. Not only that. It will accompany great military and historical loss for the Americans. Inshallah.
Blackwater operating at CIA Pakistan base, ex-official says by Declan Walsh in Islamabad and Ewen MacAskill in Washington

The US contractor Blackwater is operating in Pakistan at a secret CIA airfield used for launching drone attacks, according to a former US official, despite repeated government denials that the company is in the country.
The official, who had direct knowledge of the operation, said that employees with Blackwater, now renamed Xe Services, patrol the area round the Shamsi airbase in Baluchistan province.
He also confirmed that Blackwater employees help to load laser-guided Hellfire missiles on to CIA-operated drones that target al-Qaida members suspected of hiding in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border regions, confirming information that surfaced in the US media in the summer.
The secretive base at Shamsi is a key element in the CIA co-ordinated missile strikes that have hit more than 40 targets in the past year. Officials in Washington said that a drone attack on Wednesday killed a senior al-Qaida figure. The officials declined to name the individual, other than to say it was not Osama bin Laden. It is the first time in almost a year that the US has claimed to have successfully targeted a senior al-Qaida figure.
The controversy over Blackwater stems mainly from its work in Iraq and Afghanistan that raised questions about the US use of private contractors in war zones. Several cases against the company are pending in US courts over violent incidents, including a 2007 Baghdad shooting spree.
The New York Times reported today that links between Blackwater and the CIA in Iraq and Afghanistan have been closer than has yet been disclosed, with Blackwater staff participating in clandestine CIA raids against suspected insurgents.
The US and Pakistan governments, as well as Xe, deny the company operates in Pakistan.
Blackwater is a particularly emotive issue in Pakistan, where the company's name, along with the drone strikes, have become lightning rods for anti-American sentiment. Television stations have run images of alleged "Blackwater houses" in Islamabad, while some newspapers regularly run stories accusing US officials and respected journalists of being Blackwater operatives.
US diplomats say the stories are mostly incorrect, and the Pakistani media has confused American contractors from other companies and aid workers with Blackwater employees. Pakistan's interior minister, Rehman Malik, offered to resign if Blackwater was proved to be in Pakistan.
But there is growing evidence to suggest that Blackwater is working in Pakistan. A serving US official said that Blackwater had a contract to manage the construction of a training facility for the paramilitary Frontier Corps, just outside Peshawar, this year. But most of the work on the project, the official said, was done by Pakistani sub-contractors.
Blackwater rebranded itself Xe after the shooting in a Baghdad square that left 17 Iraqis dead. The CIA director Leon Panetta earlier this year ordered that many contracts with Blackwater be terminated. A Congressional committee is investigating links between Blackwater and the intelligence services. Xe, in a statement, denied that Blackwater was ever under contract to participate in covert raids with the CIA or special forces in Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere else.
In a separate development, five young Americans detained in Pakistan over alleged terrorist links will probably be deported, Javed Islam, a police chief, said. They had not been charged.
The US authorities have not yet said what action, if any, they will take when the five return. The five, aged between 19 and 25, are alleged to have made contact with militant groups. News of their arrest has renewed US fears on homegrown terrorists. The five all attended a mosque in Alexandria, Virginia, run by the Islamic Circle of North America.

The vehicle was allowed to go without checking after arrival of US Consulate squad.

One week ago, President Obama in a speech at West Point sought to portray his escalation of the war in Afghanistan as the prelude to an early withdrawal of US troops. It has since become increasingly apparent that the speech was nothing more than a calculated exercise in public deception.
The speech was crafted to chloroform the public, the better to defy and disorient mass popular opposition to the war.
It is now clear that the actual policy Obama has decided to pursue is not only the maintenance of an indefinite military occupation of Afghanistan, but a vast expansion of the war into Pakistan.
Within hours of the speech, administration officials were "clarifying" Obama’s talk of beginning the withdrawal of US forces by July 2011 to make clear that there is no such deadline and that US troops will remain in Afghanistan long after that date. Now it has emerged that a central component of Obama’s war plan is an expansion of US drone missile strikes in Pakistan and the deployment of US Special Operations forces on Pakistani territory to carry out attacks on insurgents in that country.
Obama said nothing in his speech about expanding the war into Pakistan. As the New York Times reported Tuesday, quoting an unnamed senior aid to the president, "We concluded early on that whatever you do with Pakistan, you don’t want to talk about it much."
The Times, which has for months been campaigning for an escalation of the war and its expansion into Pakistan, reported the day after Obama’s speech that the White House last month signed off on an expansion of CIA operations in Pakistan.
On Tuesday, the newspaper reported that prior to Obama’s speech, his national security adviser, Gen. James L. Jones, met with the heads of Pakistan’s military and intelligence service and told them that unless Pakistan moved quickly to expand its military offensive against insurgents to Baluchistan and North Waziristan, "the United States was prepared to take unilateral action to expand Predator drone strikes beyond the tribal areas and, if needed, to resume raids by Special Operations forces into the country against Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders."
In an editorial on Tuesday bristling with imperialist arrogance, the Times demanded that the Pakistanis "stop temporizing and get fully into the fight." On the expansion of US missile strikes in Pakistan, including their extension into Baluchistan, the newspaper wrote: "Such strikes have killed several top extremists, but the program is hugely unpopular in Pakistan and Mr. Obama must be judicious about expanding it. That means three things: extremely careful targeting, no civilian casualties, or as few as possible [i.e., as many as needed], and no publicity."
In other words, the American people are to be kept in the dark about targeted assassinations, civilian casualties from missile strikes, and other covert military operations in Pakistan. And the Times will do its part to suppress any information about such actions.
The editorial went on to declare that Obama had to persuade the Pakistanis that "the United States is in it for the long haul this time."
What this points to is an unprecedented program of US military aggression and subversion and the transformation of both Afghanistan and Pakistan into US protectorates. This is the meaning of the recent statement by National Security Adviser Jones that "We are not leaving the region. We have enormous strategic interests in Afghanistan, east of Afghanistan in Pakistan…"
Since Obama’s lying speech, a program of US colonial domination of Central and South Asia has been unfurled, and the US media has swung into action to bolster the effort with a new round of pro-war propaganda, including the dispatch of TV news anchors to American bases in Afghanistan.
The war in Afghanistan is only part of the global strategy of American imperialism to assert its domination of a region rich in oil and gas and of critical geo-strategic importance for supremacy over the Eurasian continent. The implications of this drive are catastrophic for the peoples of the region, who will pay the price in countless deaths, social devastation and neo-colonial oppression. But they are also disastrous for the people of the United States, whose sons and daughters will be sacrificed and whose living standards will be further slashed to pay for never-ending military adventures.
There is an element of immense recklessness in Washington’s aggressive policy toward Pakistan. It is driving the country into civil war, which would rapidly destabilize the entire region and heighten the danger of war between India and Pakistan and between India and China, all three of which are nuclear powers. Russia and Iran would inevitably be drawn into the maelstrom as well.
Obama’s election was promoted by sections of the American ruling elite who believed he could serve as the figurehead for a certain recalibration of US foreign policy after the disasters of the Bush years. It is now clear that Obama is the front man for the military and the most ruthless representatives of the ruling class.
It is necessary for workers and youth to draw the requisite conclusions. The fight against the war is a fight against the Obama administration. It is a fight against the Democratic Party and the two-party system. And it is a fight against American imperialism and the capitalist system upon which it is based.

This year, the Nobel Prize Committee in Sweden awarded Peace Prize to Obama while his being in the White House less than ten days before the nomination deadline. Ironically, the committee chose him among 205 candidates to win the prize- still less not for any concrete accomplishments but for his inspirational words. It is pity that he will now receive the prize after announcement of troops surge for Afghanistan.
This year, USA launched vast military operations in Helmand in South Afghanistan. Ten thousand American troops and almost the same number of British troops participated in the operations named Sword and Panther's claws. They killed hundreds of innocent Afghans during the most trumpeted operations, the largest ever after the Vietnam war.
As for the Afghans, they did not expect Obama, a Nobel peace prize winner, to flare up the war in the country. Nor the Alfred Nobel would ever have agreed to give peace prize to a person who is fanning flames of war rather than spreading fraternity and peace. But despite his warmongering approach, Obama did not achieve his declared goal of wiping out the Mujahideen in Helmand or realizing the take, hold and build strategy. Contrarily, the American troops fatalities were the highest in June, July and August this year comparing to the same period last year-- the months when the operations were in full swing in Helmand.
According to a recent report from Mujahideen in Helmand province and posted at this site, the enemy has only been able to keep the districts which were earlier in their hands in north Helmand. In the south, the writ of Mujahideen was restored in Khanshin, Marji and Garam Sir districts while the enemy could build only a single military base in a desert there-the only spectacular achievement of the operations. But they are not able to procure their logistics through lands routes. They have to provide logistics by air transportations. In Nad Ali, the invading troops were forced to evacuate the base, which they had formed at the start of the offensive. In Garam Sir, they are trying to beef up their former bases. No new base has been added there.
The British soldiers occupied some areas in Babaji, Pashak and the White Mosque but they were not able to retain them for a longer period in face of the constant attacks by the Mujahideen.
When their tanks and logistical vehicles come out of their military bases for patrol and logistical supplies, they become soft targets for Mujahideen. On the other hand, the roadside bombs take a high toll of the enemy, turning them into a graveyard for the invaders. Therefore, they use transportation planes for the supply of logistics instead of using the land routes. Thus they are almost besieged in their military garrisons.
According to a recent statistics, one gallon oil costs the invading troops $400 and annual expenditure of one soldier is almost one million US dollar. They have to pay $30 billion more per year for the troops surge recently announced by Obama.
But far from receiving a lesson from the failure of their military operations in June this year, the Americans launched another operation this week. It seems, the peace prize winner Obama is trying to implement the expansionist policy left to him as a legacy by W. Bush.
The aim of the Mujahideen is to have a free and independent country and Islamic government which represents the aspirations of the Afghan people. These are natural rights of people which has nothing to do with terrorism. But the so-called advocates of democracy and human rights are not ready to give these natural rights to the Afghans and to the Mujahideen. They are bent on maintaining their bases in Afghanistan like they have been maintaining them in Japan, South Korea , Germany etc. There are now hundreds of military bases in Afghanistan built under the notorious name of so-called war on terror. Every one knows that these bases are built in Afghanistan for the achievement of colonialist goals in the region.
Washington turns down the constructive proposal of the leadership of Mujahideen who say that the Mujahideen, as a part of their policy, will ensure that the next government of the Mujahideen will not meddle in the internal affairs of other countries including the neighbours if the foreign troops pull out of Afghanistan. But still America and its Allies want to achieve their imperialistic goals under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
However, the word of terrorism is still not exactly defined. Who are the terrorists? Those who defend their country, faith, values and natural rights or those who throw deci-cutter bombs and fire Hellfire missile at wedding, funeral ceremonies and rallies.
Thousands of innocent Afghans have been killed in Nangarhar, Uruzgan, Herat, Farah, Kunduz and Paktia provinces as a result of American and NATO blind bombardment. Had they any role whatsoever in the 9/11 event? No. Of course, no.
The criminal aspect of this war is that, that the invading Americans have focused on Pashtun areas and their conduct of the war seem more like a Pashtun cleansing campaign. Still more, the word terrorism has not been defined as yet.
Or the Mujahideen who want freedom of their country terrorists or those who raid people's house in the stillness of the night and detain innocent people, put them behind the bars and deprive them of their rights to have access to advocates and legal advisers? There are thousands of innocent Afghan prisoners who have, for years, been suffering in jails run by the Americans without knowing their fate.
On the one hand, the White House National Security Advisor James Jones admits that majority of non-Afghan Mujahideen have departed Afghanistan but simultaneously, they send more troops to Afghanistan. Against whom these troops are being deployed? Are not they deployed against the Afghans who want freedom of their country and a government based on their aspirations and religious values? Is this terrorism or natural rights of the Afghans? There are hundreds of questions in this notorious so-call war on terrorism!
Those with free conscience living any where in the world should come forward and defend their shared values of humanity which are being violated by an imperialist power insatiably extending its tentacles over countries of the world particularly over Asia.

The American mission has devolved to a Mafiosi-style arrangement that poisons every military and political alliance entered into by the U.S. and its puppet government in Kabul. It is a gangster occupation, in which U.S.-allied drug dealers are put in charge of the police and border patrol, while their rivals are placed on American hit lists, marked for death or capture. As a result, Afghanistan has been transformed into an opium plantation that supplies 90 percent of the world's heroin.
An article in the current issue of Harper's magazine explores the inner workings of the drug-infested U.S. occupation, it's near-total dependence on alliances forged with players in the heroin trade. The story centers on the town of Spin Boldak, on the southeastern border with Pakistan, gateway to the opium fields of Kandahar and Helmand provinces. The chief Afghan drug lord is also the head of the border patrol and the local militia. The author is an undercover U.S.-based journalist who was befriended by the drug lord's top operatives and met with the U.S. and Canadian officers that collaborate with the drug dealer on a daily basis.
The alliance was forged by American forces during the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, and has endured and grown ever since. The drug lord, and others like him throughout the country, is not only immune to serious American interference, he has been empowered through U.S. money and arms to consolidate his drug business at the expense of drug-dealing rivals in other tribes, forcing some of them into alliance. On the ground in Pashtun-speaking Afghanistan, the war is largely between armies run by heroin merchants, some aligned with the Americans.
The Karzai clan appear to be gaining the upper hand in this Mafiosa gang war, the origins of which are directly rooted in U.S. policy.

Is it any wonder, then, that the United States so often launches air strikes against civilian wedding parties, wiping out the greater part of bride and groom's extended families? America's drug-dealing allies have been dropping dimes on rival clans and tribes, using the Americans as high-tech muscle in their deadly feuds. Now the Americans and their European occupation partners have institutionalized the rules of gangster warfare with official hit lists of drug dealers to be killed or captured on sight - lists drawn up by other drug lords affiliated with the occupation forces.
This is the "war of necessity" that President Barack Obama has embraced as his own. It is a war whose order of battle is largely defined by the drug trade. Obama's generals call for tens of thousands of new U.S. troops in hopes of lessening their dependency on the militias and police forces currently controlled by American-allied drug dealers. But of course, that will only push America's Afghan partners in the drug trade into the arms of the Taliban, who will cut a better deal. Then the generals were argue that they need even more U.S. troops.
The Americans created this drug-saturated hell, and their occupation is now doomed by it. Unfortunately, they have also doomed millions of Afghans in the process.

The report says the brutal invading crusaders raided houses of ordinary civilians with the pretext of the search operation at midnight when the civilians were in the middle of sleep and immediately opened firing on them as soon as they woke up amid great noise and tried to get out of their rooms, leaving 13 poor defenseless children and women martyred. Coca-Cola just part of India’s water ‘free-for-all’

Water scarcity and mis-management in India are creating a significant human and ecological crisis that will only be worsened by climate change

Armed with banners demanding ‘Climate Justice Now!’ more than 2,000 villagers marched to the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Mehdiganj in northern India earlier this week calling for it to be closed down.
They accuse the company of over-extracting groundwater, lowering the water tables and leaving farmers and the local community unable to dig deep enough to get to vital water supplies.
Since the bottling plant was opened in 2000, water levels in the area have dropped six metres, and when a severe drought hit the region earlier this year the crops failed and livelihoods were destroyed.
‘What is more important,’ asked local activist Nandlal Master, ‘meeting the water needs of a community and farming or mass producing Coca-Cola from depleting groundwater resources?
‘The answer to us is clear, and Coca-Cola has to go,’ he said. Poor lose out
The Mehdiganj dispute is just one of many taking place all over India. In fact two Coca-Cola plants have already been closed down after local opposition over water supplies.
However, not all such disputes are as simple as ‘corporate giant versus local community’. What they do have in common, according to Tom Palakudiyil of Water Aid, is that it is ultimately the poor who lose out.
‘What we have seen happening with Coca-Cola has been happening all over the country, largely between the well-to-do and the not-so-well-to-do.
‘The richer side is able to acquire powerful pumps and extract more and more water with no limits.
‘In the case of big corporations like Coca-Cola, or other big industries that have a lot of power over the local government, they are able to get their pipelines to bypass the villages altogether,’ said Palakudiyil.

The strike took place in Aspalga village, some 12 kilometres (seven miles) southeast of Miranshah, the main town of the restive North Waziristan tribal district, officials said.
"A car was hit by two missiles, killing three people and injuring three others," security officials in the area told media.
One security and one intelligence official at Peshawar, the troubled capital of Northwest Frontier Province also confirmed the incident, saying, "The missiles were fired from a US drone."
Nearly 60 percent of Belgians favor of banning minarets
Nearly 60 percent (59.3 pc) of the Belgians shows in favor of a ban on the construction of minarets. This shows a survey conducted by iVOX commissioned by Le Soir Magazine. Switzerland was 57.5 pc in favor of such a ban.
Thirty-eight pc of Belgians is indeed "absolutely" against the building of minarets. Of those 38 pc, the Walloons the strongest opposition against the construction of minarets, followed by Brussels and the Flemish. It also appears that more elderly people than youngsters against minarets and also against men rather than women. Finally, the investigation shows that the Belgians are against the building of mosques. Almost 57 pc do not want mosques to be built in Belgium and 61 pc would not in their neighborhood. The survey was conducted between December 5 and 3 Belgians in 1050. The error margin is 3 pc.

At least 127 people (apostates) have been killed and more than 513 others wounded in a series of bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, police say.
Two car bombs exploded near the labour and interior ministries, two more struck in central Baghdad, and another at a police patrol in Dora, in the south of the city.
The first explosion in central Baghdad was heard at 10.25 am (0725 GMT) on Tuesday, with a second blast within seconds and a third one a minute later.
Iraqiya television reported one of the blasts hit a market there.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
An interior ministry official said 12 of those killed in Dora were students at a nearby technical college.
The remaining three victims were policemen working at the checkpoint.
'Security infiltrated'
Tuesday's bombings come two days after the Iraqi parliament passed a new electoral law paving the way for parliamentary elections on March 6, 2010.
Iraqi and US military officials have expressed concern about a possible spurt in attacks aimed at destabilising the government before next year's polls.
Zeina Khodr, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Iraq, said the attacks are another embarrassment for the government.
"We just spoke to a high raking official who said he was worried that the security forces were infiltrated," Khodr said.
"This is a blow to the security forces and prime minister Nuri al-Maliki, who is running for re-election on a platform that he has improved security across the country.
"Attacks have become part of daily life, not only in Baghdad, but across the country. Security is not only fragile, it is deteriorating."

However, four people riding the vehicles refused to allow the police to carry out their search, according to Geo News.
The incident took place at 3pm after which a traffic jam was witnessed in the area.
According to a Geo TV reporter, these vehicles have number plates of Islamabad and Lahore. The media has been barred to visit the area.
According to eyewitnesses, people riding the land cruisers are foreigners, who are not allowing the police to carry out search.
KABUL – The Afghan government said NATO forces killed six civilians during a pre-dawn operation Tuesday in eastern Afghanistan. NATO disputed the allegation, saying only militants died. Hundreds of people marched on the provincial capital to protest the raid, and an official said one demonstrator died Tuesday in clashes with police. International forces have pledged to avoid civilian deaths in recent months, but insurgents often live among villagers making them vulnerable during nighttime raids. Some Afghans have expressed fear that the 30,000 additional U.S. troops slated to start arriving in days will result in more violence and civilian casualties. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates promised Afghans during a visit to the country Tuesday that the U.S. will do all it can to keep civilians out of the line of fire. "Our top priority remains the safety of civilians," he said at a joint press conference with Afghan President Hamid Karzai. In the media coverage of Barack Obama’s decision to escalate the war in Afghanistan, one question goes unasked and unanswered: how many thousands, tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of Afghan civilians will die as a result of US military aggression?
The dispatch of an additional 30,000 US troops, reinforced by at least 7,000 more from other NATO countries, means a colossal increase in the level of violence. By the time the Obama surge is complete, the size of the US military force in Afghanistan will be triple the number stationed there in the last years of the Bush administration.
In the cynical doublespeak of the Pentagon, the counterinsurgency warfare strategy developed by Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top US commander in Afghanistan, is aimed at "protecting the population" and "degrading the Taliban." What this means in practice is that those Afghans who resist foreign occupation will be considered to be Taliban and targeted for destruction.
The counterinsurgency doctrine developed in Iraq by McChrystal and the current head of the US Central Command, Gen. David Petraeus, is not a military innovation, but rather the revival of the methods applied by American imperialism in Vietnam (as well as by France in Algeria and Britain in countless colonial wars). The largely rural population of Afghanistan is to be herded into large aggregations where they can be more easily controlled, especially in the country’s major cities like Kabul and Kandahar, and those who resist will be classified as supporting the insurgents.
McChrystal also envisions a major incursion of US troops into the city of Kandahar itself, which is patrolled by Afghan government forces by day but dominated by Taliban forces at night. This could well mean house-to-house, Fallujah-style fighting in a city of nearly 3 million people.
There is no doubt that as a result of the US escalation, the civilian death toll will skyrocket, although the American media is unlikely to report this honestly. Instead, those killed by American bombs, missiles, shells and other weaponry will be described as "Taliban," "terrorists" or, in the latest parlance, "bad guys."
The Obama administration has not bothered to provide a credible explanation for its decision to intensify the war. Obama, in his West Point speech, sought to hearken back to the days immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, although, according to Pentagon estimates, there are less than 100 Al Qaeda members still in Afghanistan.
With Al Qaeda an insignificant factor in the fighting, the US war effort will necessarily be directed at exterminating any Afghans who take up arms to oppose the occupation of their country by imperialist powers. Given the history of Afghan resistance to colonialism, going back more than 150 years, this means that virtually the entire population of the country, some 30 million people, are potential targets.
The targeted population is actually even larger, according to an analysis by Scott Shane of the New York Times, published Sunday in its "Week in Review" section. He notes that the US is potentially fighting a war against the entire Pashtun population living on both sides of the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, 15 million on the Afghan side and 27 million on the Pakistan side. The combined population of Afghanistan and the Pashtun areas of Pakistan is 57 million—the equivalent of the population of France or Italy.
Up to now, there has been very little effort to account for the civilian death toll in the Afghanistan war. According to reports by independent monitoring groups, the systematic collection of data on civilian fatalities began only in 2007, six years after the US invasion and overthrow of the Taliban. The UN has created a civilian casualty database but does not make it accessible to the public. Official semi-annual reports from the UN have placed the death toll at about 2,000 in both 2008 and 2009.
This figure, undoubtedly a gross underestimation, is bound to soar as the US military launches offensive operations in Taliban-held areas, which include much of the east and south, and scattered districts in every part of the country. Ground operations will be accompanied by the unleashing of massive firepower, including bombers, attack helicopters, remote-controlled missiles and artillery blitzes. The US and allied air forces will use new and more massive bombs, some of them big enough to vaporize every living thing in an area the size of a football field. The military is also redeploying new armored mine-resistant vehicles from Iraq, rebuilt for roadless Afghan conditions.
By the spring of 2010, the size of the US force in Afghanistan will be close to the 110,000 deployed by the Soviet Union at the height of Moscow’s intervention in Afghanistan in the 1980s. Counting the increase to 45,000 from NATO member states and other US allies, the combined imperialist forces will be 145,000, far larger than the Soviet presence.
This fact provoked questions to US Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who appeared with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on three network television interview programs Sunday morning. Gates was second in command at the CIA during the 1980s and played a central role in funneling arms, money and recruits to the Afghan Mujahedeen fighting the Soviet military (an operation which enlisted, among others, Osama bin Laden and most of those who now constitute the leadership of the Taliban).
Gates was asked on several programs, based on his experience of the 1980s, how America would be successful in an Afghanistan war where the Soviet Union had failed. He replied each time that the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan resulted in one million dead and five million people made refugees. But none of his interviewers bothered to ask him what the toll of deaths and refugees would be as a consequence of the current US escalation. It is likely to be in the same order of magnitude.
Lest this be thought an exaggeration, it should be pointed out that one million dead and five million refugees is the most credible estimate of the human toll of the US invasion and conquest of Iraq. Now a military onslaught of the same dimensions is to be visited on the people of Afghanistan.
Such figures lead inexorably to one political conclusion: the escalation of the war in Afghanistan is a crime of historic proportions, whose perpetrators—Obama, Gates, Clinton, McChrystal, Petraeus, Vice President Biden, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mullen—are as guilty as their forerunners in the Bush administration, who devised and executed the bloodbath in Iraq.

A series of coordinated bomb attacks killed more than 100 people in Baghdad today as officials announced that delayed Iraqi elections would take place on March 6.
Four explosions in quick succession at locations across the city were powerful enough to shake buildings ten miles away. The Iraqi police said that at least 112 people died with around 197 known to have been injured.
This is the third multi-car bomb attack in the Iraqi capital since August, all aimed at government buildings. The previous attacks involved two car bombs each - it is thought that today’s assault involved three car bombs and a suicide bomber.
The latest major attack comes on the day that polling officials set a date for parliamentary elections. The ballot was initially scheduled for January 16, before being delayed until February and then March.
The Baghdad Government and the US military have said they fear that the lead-up to the election will bring an escalation in attacks seeking to discredit the pro-Western government of Nouri al-Maliki, the Prime Minister.
Iraqi officials blamed the previous round of co-ordinated attacks on loyalists to Saddam Hussein’s banned Baathist Party. The claim, however, may have been designed to deflect attention from a possible resurgence of Sunni militants led by al-Qaeda in Iraq.
Gordon Brown’s spokesman deplored the attempt by insurgents to destabilise Iraq. “We condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms and send our sympathies to the families of those who have been killed or injured,” he said.
“While challenges remain, there have been real improvements in security, the economy and politics in Iraq in recent months and we will continue to work closely with the Iraqi government to continue progress. Those who seek to use violence to undermine these efforts will not succeed.”
Iraqi police said that at least one of today’s Baghdad blasts was a suicide bomber, who was driving a bomb-rigged ambulance heading for the Finance Ministry. The other explosions may have been bombs detonated by timer or trigger.
One explosion targeted a training academy for judges near the al-Nidaa mosque in north-eastern Baghdad. There were also reports of an explosion near the Ministry of Interior.
Baghdad hospitals reported the arrival of scores of casualties and police said a part of northern Baghdad, al-Waziriya, has been sealed off in the hunt for the suspected ringleaders.
The first explosion was heard at 10.25am local time (0725 GMT) with the rest following soon after. Sporadic gunfire then sounded and the sirens of emergency vehicles were also heard.
The blast at the Finance Ministry tore through a nearby market and toppled at least one building. Rescue teams, some using construction cranes, tried to pull away the rubble to seek survivors.
Fire-fighters pulled survivors from behind huge slabs of toppled concrete while US soldiers helped provide security.
Violence across Iraq had dropped dramatically last month, with the fewest deaths in attacks since the US-led invasion of 2003. Official figures showed a total of 122 people were killed in November.
A team of militants launched a gun, rocket and suicide attack on an intelligence office in central Pakistan on Tuesday, killing 12 people in a strike that showed the insurgents can hit deep in the heart of the country. The raid in Multan signaled the relentless determination of militants, despite being pressured by a major army offensive in one of their Afghan border havens. It came a day after twin bombings at a market in the eastern city of Lahore killed 49. In the capital, prosecutors presented the Supreme Court with a list of alleged graft cases involving President Asif Ali Zardari and thousands of other officials that could be reopened if judges there declare illegal a recently expired amnesty protecting them. The ongoing hearing could lead to legal challenges against the U.S-backed leader's rule, threatening political stability just as the United States needs the country to focus on battling militants also fighting across the border in Afghanistan. Tuesday's blast ripped the facades off several buildings in a part of the town largely reserved for government and security agencies. Also damaged was the apparent target of the blast, a building housing an office of Pakistan's most powerful spy agency, Inter-Services Intelligence. Senior police officer Agha Yusuf said at least three militants in a car carried out the attack. One of them first fired a rocket and an automatic weapon at a police checkpoint. Then the men drove the car to the intelligence agency and detonated it. He said security force members were among the 12 dead. Taliban spokesman Azam Tariq claimed responsibility for the attack in a conversation with an Associated Press reporter in the Waziristan area of the Afghan border region. The attack came as U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates visited nearby Afghanistan, where he said Washington was ready to work more closely with Pakistan to fight the militants. "The more they get attacked internally ... the more open they may be to additional help from us. But we are prepared to expand that relationship at any pace they are prepared to accept," he said. The U.S. has waged its own campaign of missile strikes against insurgent targets in the border region. The latest suspected airstrike destroyed a car carrying three people in a village near Mir Ali, a main town in North Waziristan. As-Sahab: We begin in the name of Allah. All praise is due to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
We are pleased to host Ustâdh Ahmad Farooq today. Ustâdh Ahmad Farooq is in charge of the Da'wah (Invitation) and the Media in Pakistan on behalf of Al-Qaeda. This is the first time that As-Sahab is broadcasting a meeting with some of Al-Qaeda's leadership in the Urdu language.
For now, we are transmitting the first part of the meeting in which - Allah willing - we will discuss the Jihad thriving all over the world and the objections raised upon this sacred obligation.
To begin, we would like to have an introduction of the Al-Qaeda Organization from Ustâdh Ahmad.
Ustâdh Ahmad: All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the chief of the Prophets and Messengers, Mohammad; and upon all of his descendants, his Companions and his progeny. As to what follows:
"Qaeda-tul-Jihad", which is shortly known as "Al-Qaeda" throughout the world...is an organization that came into being for the eradication of mischief, making supreme the Word of Allah and the establishment of "Khilâfah (Caliphate) upon the methodology of Prophet hood" upon this earth. Its Amir is Shaykh Usama bin Ladin; may Allah protect him from every evil, make him unwavering on the path of Jihad and bless him in his decisions and judgment. So this is the official introduction to this organization. But Al-Qaeda is also looked at from another perspective...i.e. it is more than a mere organization with some avowed constituents; rather, it has taken the profile of a doctrine and methodology.
Wherever you mention confrontation, resistance and Jihad against Kufr; when challenging the Kuffâr (disbelievers) and Tawâghît (idol-kings) is referred to and defiance is talked about, and each time it comes to defending the Ummah and fighting on its behalf......"Al-Qaeda" dawns over the horizons of psyche. Jihad and Al-Qaeda...have now become two sides of a coin. From this perspective - as I said before - this is no longer a conventional organization; rather, whoever performs "Qitâl" (fighting) for the Ummah's sake, in accordance with the legal Islamic methodology...he be in any fraction of the globe and working under any name whatsoever...is one of us and we are one of him.
Let me make one more thing clear that working as an "organization" is merely "نازلة من النوازل", i.e. an exceptional situation that we face today, because such regimes impose themselves upon the Muslims today which not only forsake the obligation of Jihad themselves, but work to hinder its path. Otherwise, Jihad is not an obligation upon some organization or a mere individual...it is actually a duty of the Caliphate or a Muslim Government. In these emergent times, we have congregated in the form of organizations in order to align or efforts and systematize our struggle. Otherwise, we believe ourselves to be a part of this Ummah and carry no identity other than that. We introduce ourselves in the same way Allah has introduced us: هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمينَ "He has named you Muslims..." So we are Muslims and a part of this Muslim Ummah...and are engaged in Jihad to defend it.
As-Sahab: Al-Qaeda is commonly known as an Arab organization. How come Pakistani individuals became part of it?
Ustâdh Ahmad: The claim can be true to the extent that a great majority of the Mujahideen - many of whom have been martyred to this day - who laid its foundation and joined it at the start, was that of the Arab brothers; and even today, a large part of Al-Qaeda comprises of the Arab Mujahideen. But this neither is an introduction to Al-Qaeda, nor any condition to become part of it. It is - as I said before - simply an ideology, a methodology and an assemblage of those combating the enemies of Islam. Whoever is firm upon the creed of the "Ahl-us-Sunnah wal-Jamâ'ah" [People of the Sunnah (of the Messenger صلى الله عايه و سلم) and the Group (of the Companions رضى الله عنهم)], and carries out his duty of Jihad in the light of the commandments of Shariah can enter it...may he belong to any people, any race and any region. Islam has not taught us this discrimination. And this is the reason we see that Al-Qaeda is active on diverse fronts including Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It embraces Muslims of different nationalities; not only the locals of the areas it holds presence in, but also those belonging to America, different European states, Australasia, the Philippines, Indonesia and numerous other Muslim countries. People from all backgrounds come and join it. Pakistanis are part of it too and this is nothing improbable.
As-Sahab: Why was Jihad adopted as the only path to achieve the objectives you mentioned earlier?
Ustâdh Ahmad: This will not be our choice. We live in this world as Allah's obedient slaves, which is the duty for which Allah has sent us on earth. Allah says (after that I seek Allah's refuge from the accursed Satan):
"I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me."
Just as we are bound to turn towards the Shariah and seek instructions from Allah in all other matters of life...we turn towards the Shariah to get the answers to these questions too, like "what methodology should we adopt to achieve these objectives?", "how would the Word of Allah be made supreme?" and "through what way shall the Caliphate be restored?" The Shariah has guided us in our query and singled out Jihad as the sole methodology to achieve these objectives. It has clearly explained its commandments regarding Jihad, which have remained agreed upon among the Ulema of the Salaf (the three earliest generations of Islam) and those who succeeded them...
Jihad remains "Fardh-ul-Kifâyah" (collective duty) in normal conditions, while it becomes "Fardh-ul-Ain" (individual obligation) in some special circumstances. This means that Jihad would be obligatory upon each and every Muslim of the Ummah who is free of any legal excuse or compulsion.
Since the time when the Kuffâr started occupying our territory in Europe to this day now...Jihad remains an individual obligation upon us in the light of the conditions mentioned by the Fuqahâ (Islamic Jurists). Amongst them is the occupation of any "hand span" of Muslim territory by the Kuffâr, as a result of which Jihad becomes an individual obligation. Likewise, all the Fuqahâ have mentioned in their compilations that if a single Muslim man or woman is imprisoned by the Kuffâr, Jihad remains an individual duty until the captive is delivered. Similarly, if the ruler of the Muslims apostatizes from the Religion; Qitâl (fighting) to remove him becomes "Fardh-ul-Ain".
There are other conditions mentioned by the Fuqahâ as well. And today, not one of them remains unfulfilled; thus issuing the manifold obligation upon our shoulders more vehemently than ever before. So, why did we choose Jihad as our path? It is because we believe Jihad to be an individual obligation upon ourselves, rather the entire Ummah today. And so we have set out to perform our duty and fulfill the commandment of Allah.
Here, I would like to point out to the fact that never in the history of Islam has the Ummah experienced such calamities as it faces nowadays. Our lands have been occupied: there was a time when we ruled three continents...and today we cannot even find a fraction of land where Allah's law be dominant. Then; not a couple or two, rather, thousands of our Mujahideen, preachers of the Religion, Ulema and even Muslim women - like our sister Aafia Siddiqi, may Allah free her - are locked up in jails and freeing them from the Kuffâr is an individual duty upon us. Observing this sequence, we find that crimes so heinous have been committed, the likes of which the Ummah has never witnessed before, nor has it ever tolerated them so submissively. For example, the repeated desecration of the Book of Allah...and the recurring blasphemy of the Prophet of Allah صلى الله عايه و سلم, who is dearer and more precious to us than all other after Allah. After all of this - had we still denied the individual obligation of Jihad and not stood up to fulfill our duty - we had feared that the wrath of Allah would descend upon us. So this was the actual reason why we took on the path of Jihad.
As-Sahab: Some people amongst those who preach and invite towards the Religion think that the Mujahideen deny the methodology of invitation and preaching for the establishment of Allah's Religion? What would be your answer to the misconception?
Ustâdh Ahmad: How can this be! I stated before that we abide by Allah's commands. The Lord who has obligated Jihad has also said: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ ادْخُلُواْ فِي السِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً (البقرة : 208)
"O you who believe! Enter perfectly into Islam..."
Thus, we believe in all of the commandments of Islam...may it be Jihad, Zakat, prayer, Hajj, inviting towards Allah, enjoining good and forbidding evil...and consider them obligatory upon ourselves. Our creed is no different than that of the rest of the Muslims. Yes, we do put all the commandments that the Shariah has established in keeping with their actual significance and upon their appropriate occasion...according to how the Jurists of the Salaf have explained them. "Da'wah" (Invitation) is our responsibility and there is no escaping it. However, we also acknowledge that there are some specific circumstances in which Jihad becomes "Fardh-ul-Ain"...while the legal status of Da'wah remains that of "Fardh-ul-Kifâyah".
All the Fuqahâ have asserted that when Jihad becomes "Fardh-ul-Ain", such an urgent situation is faced that the son must set out without asking permission of the father, the debtor without asking permission of the creditor, the slave without the permission of the master and even the wife without the permission of her husband. Every individual has to fulfill his duty. In this extraordinary situation i.e. when Jihad becomes an individual obligation, if there arrives any conflict between the fulfillment of Jihad and some other obligation, Jihad will be preferred upon the latter.
Carrying out our duty of Da'wah is part of our creed. For instance, by means of the conversation I am having with you and the job you are occupied with...we are conveying our Da'wah while being Mujahids. So there is no conflict between the two. But if a clash arises, Jihad shall have the preference. What we disagree with is to adopt a pattern of Da'wah that results in the negligence of the individual duty of Jihad. A Mujahid - no matter where he is situated - conveys his Da'wah along with all other of his duties. This is one aspect of the issue.
The other aspect is as Imam Sarakhsi رحمه الله says: "القتال ما فرض لعينه" i.e. Qitâl (fighting) was not proposed for the sake of itself. Its obligation wasn't due to the reason that bloodshed or warfare itself was intended... "بل للدعوة إلى الإسلام". The reason behind its obligation was that the Invitation towards Islam may be spread. Thus, Qitâl itself is a way to spread the Da'wah. He further expands: "والدعوة دعوتان" i.e. there are two kinds of Invitation. "دعوة بالبنان و هي القتال" . The Invitation by way of the sword and that is "Qitâl". "و دعوة بالبيان و هو اللسان و ذلك بالتبليغ" . The other way is to invite by speech, i.e. verbal Invitation and that is through preaching. And with that, he makes it clear that: "و الثانية أهون من الأولى". The second way of Da'wah is easier and less demanding than the first i.e. Invitation and preaching is easier than fighting. Why is it so? "لأن فيها مخاطرة الروح والنفس والمال و ليس في دعوة التبليغ شيىء من ذلك" ...Because in fighting, one endangers himself, his life and his wealth; while preaching does not demand anything of this sort. So we are engaged today in the kind of Da'wah that is more difficult, more precarious and demands more sacrifice.
This is no assertion based merely on the above mentioned clause, but a witnessed fact, that Allah has blessed the sword and its flaunt with an incredible inspiration to convey the Da'wah. For instance, it has now been proven with verified figures that the number of people in Europe and America - both among the white and black population - who embraced Islam consequent to the raids of the 11th of September, had never been seen as the result of years, rather decades of preaching. The world witnessed an incredible fervor towards Islam that those raids and the blood of those nineteen martyrs had inspired.
Shaykh Usama bin Ladin explains this point in one of his speeches by giving a fine example. He says that during the Makkan period, the finest preachers were conveying the Da'wah; those whose likes the heavens nor the earth had ever seen: that is, the Noblest Messenger صلى الله عايه و سلم himself and his Companions, including Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali رضى الله عنهم أجمعين. As a result of thirteen years of preaching, the total number of conversions to Islam reached about one hundred. Later on, the Noblest Messenger صلى الله عايه و سلم enters Makkah at the occasion of the Conquest, subsequent to the prescription of fighting and after undertaking the different stages of Jihad. All those who had remained head and shoulders above the rest in the opposition, hostility and enmity of Islam throughout the Makkan period were fetched before him. Those chiefs who had swore, oppressed and waged war...were asked by the Noblest Messenger صلى الله عايه و سلم about their opinion concerning what he would make of them?...And they proclaimed as one:أخ كريم و ابن كريم "You are a noble brother, and the son of a noble brother"! ...How come this turned out?! The Islam they refused to understand for thirteen years of verbal preaching now took no time in penetrating their minds...
The reason was - and Shaykh Usama says a historic phrase here - that "السيف يعين على فهم الحق". The sword helps in understanding the Truth. This is because human temperament finds it hard to accept the Da'wah by merely listening to the evidences. Those who are whole and pure at heart do accept it without argument, but a great many individuals are dominated by the thuggery, arrogance and mischief of their characters, which hinder submitting to the Truth even after evidences have been elucidated. However, as the sword approaches and there is a demonstration of force...we are not talking about any compulsion...a mere demonstration of force; the Da'wah of the Muslims is taken seriously.
From this perspective, we are engaged in nothing that is poles apart to inviting and preaching; rather, we are clearing the impediments upon the path of Da'wah, and are carrying out the obligation of "Invitation by way of the sword". So it is not that we deny anything of this.
As-Sahab: Please enlighten, who are your enemies; i.e. against whom is this Jihad waged?
Ustâdh Ahmad: Recognizing one's friend and foe holds vital importance in human life. If a person is mistaken at this point, he suffers for his lifetime. It is by the Grace of Allah that He solved our problem and spelled out our enemies for us Himself. And taking into account the significance of this matter, Allah the Exalted expounded it for us even before Adam عليه السلام was sent down upon the earth. He warned us that Satan is our adversary and seeks to lead us astray...so that we beware! Adam عليه السلام was undertaken through a practical trial and taught that it is Allah, Who is the friend and protector of man and Who supports and champions him. Allah the Exalted says: وَاللّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (آل عمران: 68) "...and Allah is the Protecting Friend of the Believers". Also: وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُتَّقِينَ (الجاثية: 19) "...and Allah is the Helper and Protector of those who are pious." So our friend upon whom we lay our trust is Allah; while Satan is our enemy.
Second in line, Allah points out the comrades, hordes and the armies of Satan. It has been made clear for us beforehand that: وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَائِكُمْ "Allah knows best (who are) your enemies..."وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ وَلِيّاً وَكَفَى بِاللّهِ نَصِيراً (النساء: 45) "...and Allah is sufficient as a Friend, and Allah is sufficient as a Helper." Thus, it is not for me to decide, nor my wits, nor anyone amongst us, as regards to: "Who is the enemy?" Everyone who believes in Allah ought to turn towards Him, His Book and His Prophet صلى الله عايه و سلم to get the answer. There and then can we come to appreciate.
Rather, Allah has been so particular in this matter that He even categorized our enemies for us. Allah the Exalted says:
"You will find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the Polytheists."
Allah stated these enemies more intense in hostility than the Nazarenes. Thus, we have our orders. We fight the Jews and the Polytheists prior to all.
Also, we fight the Nazarenes, on whose enmity other verses shed light. So these are the external enemies, whom we have been battling - by the Grace of Allah - since many years and in different parts of the globe. This Jihad was commenced at full blast in 1996, as the USS Cole and the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were struck. Progression persisted. America was attacked on the 11th of September. London was hit at 7/7. This is a succession of operations that were executed against these enemies in diverse fashion and expanse.
Then there is a fourth enemy which is pointed out in the Quran and the Hadîth; and the predecessor Ulema have also mentioned it in their books. They are the apostates. It should be kept in mind that some Ulema have declared them even more dangerous than the Jews and the Polytheists. The author of "مجمع الزوائد" mentions the apostates while stating the enemies who are to be fought against and says: "...والمرتدين الذين هم أخبث الكفار" i.e. "...the Apostates, who are the most evil and vile among the infidels." Why? "...للإنكار بعد الإقرار"..."because they denied after having admitted", and after having closely observed Imân (Faith) and Islam. So these are the three external enemies and an internal enemy we confront today. Keeping in view the concerns and preferences at each front, we strive to defend our Ummah.
As-Sahab: The Muslims fought Russia in the past. Then, America and a large number of Muslim states supported the Mujahideen against Russia and provided them with resources and armament. Where today are they getting help in the war against America, and depending on what resources will they be able to thwart the American enemy?
Ustâdh Ahmad: This is one of the suspicions that the global media - led by America - has spread quite mightily, i.e. the delusion that Russia was defeated by American assistance. And there is one primary objective behind this, and behind the propaganda about every major operation accomplished by the Mujahideen - be it 9/11 or else: to make the Ummah admit that it is powerless and incompetent to do any such thing...and that the Mujahideen are not capable enough. The true intention is to prevent the Ummah from achieving awareness and the verve to act and free itself from the shackles of slavery that it should have achieved as a result of those great feats. This is very the thinking that has been egged on into psyches with great effort and years of propaganda, in order to instill awe and trepidation. The truth differs anyhow.
Jihad against Russia in Afghanistan had begun in the late 70s. From that time till the mid-eighties, neither America nor any other foreign power stepped into the Jihad, nor were they interested in doing so. They all stood as spectators. Never had it occurred to them that those disorganized clusters of unequipped Mujahideen could ever defeat a power like the Soviet Union, whose fear used to make Europe tremble then! ...To come to the point, it was merely the trust on Allah that established the Jihadi resistance during these last seven or eight years, which were the actual stages of hardship as the struggle had to be initiated from the spark.
The ones who had lived those days - and many of those elder Mujahideen still live amongst us by the Grace of Allah - hold witness to the fact that the Jihad throughout that period had no trace of assistance from America or that of any of the other Tawâghît in it. It continued with the sacrifices of the Mujahideen, the blood of the martyrs and the support and assistance from Allah. As the years 1985-86 arrived, the Jihadi shoot had grown well and sturdy, and it did not then matter whether America intervened or not; the Jihad would have gone on with Allah's help anyhow. This is the point when America gets involved. The main objective it had on mind was not letting that victory arrive at a finale that could threaten the international authority of America itself. Besides, it wanted to get rid of its archenemy, and that was the USSR. In any case, interpreting that intervention as "help" given to the Mujahideen would be incorrect.
Shaykh Abdullah Azzam رحمه الله who was one of the most prominent celebrities among the Arab Mujahideen at that time, talks about the rumors regarding the American aid in a speech he made after the year 1986 - probably in 1987 or 1988. He refutes the claim that the Mujahideen used to 'get' Stinger Missiles from America. They actually used to 'buy' them from the market. The Stinger Missile at that time used to cost Rs.70, 000/. So this was no 'gift' to them! It was merely trading and purchasing that can be done with anyone. So what is the point of calling it a 'favor', or 'aid' or 'assistance'? Besides, a large class of Arab and non-Arab Mujahideen was such that they never accepted any sort of assistance whatsoever, nor did they ever deal directly with America. Such blames are utter falsehood and devoid of reality.
However, there were some minor groups - mostly among the locals - who did accept help. And if they did so without complying with the conditions set by the Shariah regarding "الإستعانة بالكفار" (Seeking help from the Kuffâr), they did wrong undoubtedly, and all saw the ill effects it brought and how blessings faded from the Jihad. Shaykh Azzam mentions in one of his sermons that before the American intervention in 1986, miracles used to come about in the Jihad time and again. He has written an entire book about this, named: "بشائر الرحمن في جهاد الأفغان" (Glad tidings by the Merciful, in the Afghan Jihad), which is actually a narrative of those divine occurrences that transpired during those days. He acknowledges however, that after 1986 some people amongst the Mujahideen started to turn towards America - though indirectly; through the Pakistani or Saudi governments - and the heavenly blessings within Jihad grew fainter.
We are not saying that the Mujahideen in general became involved. A great many Ulema lived amongst the Mujahideen even then, and most of the leadership and groups were those who never let their purity abate. Their sincerity shows itself by the fact that the very groups or individuals or their descendants are today at war with the American enemy. This is the answer to the first part of your question...
Your second question was about who would help us fight today? We are assisted by the same one Who had helped us fight yesterday. In Allah had we put our trust in the past - وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ (إبراهيم: 12) "In Allah let the trusting put their trust" - and in Him do we trust today. After that, our support is what Allah has pointed out Himself: هُوَ الَّذِيَ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ (الأنفال: 62) "He it is Who supported you with His help and with the believers." Thus, we rely upon the Believers next to Allah i.e. the Ummah which loves us and we love it; it stands at our back, and with its prayers, wealth and support the Jihad goes on.
As-Sahab: Among the misconceptions that are raised regarding contemporary Jihad and the Mujahideen is that: although the enemy was thwarted, what was the outcome of the Jihad against Russia?...The Mujahideen started fighting each other; Muslim blood was shed......so how did the Jihad benefit on the whole?
Ustâdh Ahmad: First thing is first. How did the argument of profit and loss enter Jihad?! We said before that we perform Jihad because it is Allah's command. We fulfill our duty. We are no infidel nation like Germany, France or Britain - and we seek Allah's refuge from being so - that we should consider Jihad or war to be part of our "foreign policy" or something at the disposal of our pleasure and ease! ...We would do it if our nation's interest lies in it, otherwise we shall not!!?......
Jihad is Allah's command. If such questions of profit and loss are not raised concerning prayer, fasting, Zakat, preaching and the other obligations......then how come Jihad was queried about? The Shariah has set its commandments regarding Jihad, explained the circumstances which if present, it would become an individual obligation. If not, the ruling will be that of a collective obligation. But it does remain an "obligation"! It is Allah's command that we, being Muslims must carry out. So this is the first thing.
Now let us also have a practical analysis whether the Jihad bore its fruit or not, though the Shariah has not burdened us with being distressed about that. Still, let us have a look.
Among the blessings of the Jihad against Russia, it alone suffices that an Ummah which had drifted far away from Jihad since the fall of the Caliphate - or even earlier than that - and had forsaken the great duty about which the Noblest Messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم had warned that abandoning it will inflict humiliation upon the Ummah......such an Ummah got a field where thousands of youths could come and receive their trainings, and hundreds of Mujahideen were privileged to sacrifice their lives in the path of Allah. It was as if a fire had erupted within the entire Ummah. People arrived from far and wide...Africa, the Arabian world, the Middle East; and from Indonesia, the Philippines and Pakistan to take part in the Jihad. And there came into being by the Grace of Allah, a generation of Mujahideen that has been ever expanding since the Jihad against Russia dawned in Afghanistan. The Jihadi awakening spread ceaselessly throughout the Ummah. It breathed life into a dead nation, and this alone suffices as the fruit it bore.
Another aspect of the argument is that it would be very unjust to halt the wheels of history at the point when Russia left and fighting broke out between seven of the Mujahideen's groups. History continued after that. Why to limit it and analyze the results up to that point only? If the consequent emergence of the Taliban and the establishment of an Emirate based purely on the Shariah was not a blessing of that Jihad, then what else would you call it? ......
Let us put it this way: Who were the Taliban? ...They were the very individuals who had remained part of the Jihad against the Soviets! As they observed the mutual warfare expanding readily, they rose to fulfill their duty and laid the foundation of an Islamic emirate. After the fall of the Caliphate, this was the first time that an emirate established the Rule of Allah upon the Land of Allah... without fearing the blame of any blamer. It revived the memories of the earliest era of Islam and provided the Mujahideen from all over the world with an abode which they could use as a base to plan massive operations against the global kufr. So the Emirate was a plinth and platform for Jihad.
These benefits alone suffice. Even a single one amongst them was quite enough as the fruit and blessing of the Jihad that took place in Afghanistan against the USSR. Even other than these great gains, the good it brought is in no reckoning.
As-Sahab: Another query is then raised. America invaded and the Islamic Emirate fell. Even if the Mujahideen are able to resist the American enemy for now, some other power like France or China would turn up later on and eliminate the Islamic government, making use of its technology and military force. So it comes to military force and technology after all...and Allah has instructed us regarding it too, i.e. وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ. Thus, provision of force is proven to be amongst the primary duties of Muslims. Once you are equipped with military strength, no one would dare to pluck up against you. You may fire away happily with your Jihad then. So this is an objection oft raised by so-called intellectuals. What would you say about that?
Ustâdh Ahmad: The verse you have recited says: وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن قُوَّةٍ (الأنفال: 60) "Make ready for them all you can of (armed) force." One ought to ponder over the words, and also have a look at what the Commentators have written in its context. مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم means "all you can". The Commentators have mentioned both aspects while explaining the verse: First: you should prepare and provide to your utmost and exhaust all you are worth of in doing so for confronting the Kuffâr. Second: descend the battlefield after you have done so, especially when it comes to a defensive situation. Thus, deeming ourselves tasked to rival the enemy and provide strength that equals theirs is neither proven by any Quranic verse, nor stated in any established text found in the Hadîth. We are ordered to provide all that we can, not to provide more than what the enemy can. So it should be very clear; we have orders to prepare all that we are able to prepare. And then; after our best endeavor, and with all the strength we can muster, we have to set out to meet the enemy.
The best that the Muslims could provide in the Battle of Badr was 313 men, some swords and a few horses. Some got hold of a cane and some turned up with an axe...and they set out to meet the infidels! In doing so, they did not err in the slightest in fulfilling the command of وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم. They fulfilled the command and the obligation that was upon their shoulders and set out for the battlefield, leaving behind a tradition for us to follow.
A simple example can explain this well. Some burglars break in your house. How will you then respond? Will you invite them in; tell them that they are free to occupy the house, loot whatever they like, help themselves with all that they lay hands upon, and desecrate all sanctities.........while you require enough time to prepare resistance and provide weapons like they have?!! Then you will retaliate?! This is something that even human intellect cannot accept; let alone the Shariah! When a Muslim is assaulted - or even a kâfir who has some sense of worth - he defends himself with whatever he gets hold of! Let us talk about other than human beings (a kâfir is a human anyways!). If you corner an animal as weak as a cat or a hen, it will not be able to do anything else, but it will growl at least! So this is something which human intellect demands along with the Shariah i.e. whenever the enemy assails, there is no time left; it then comes to blows with all that is at hand. Further preparation is continued all along.
A third thing that must be kept in mind is that those who criticize the lack of force for enemy confrontation while sitting outside the battlefield......how can they tell what sort of force is required to deal with them?? The enemy relays a great deal through its media, inspires awe of its armies and uses its Hollywood movies to scare the world of its forces! If these people stay afar the battlefield, how on earth can they understand what these armies are actually worth of!? And that what is the reality of the great armor and aircraft they bring into play, their great many specialties they describe and the potency they relate to them? And conversely, how much force is needed to harm, destroy and confront them?! All of this can never be understood without stepping into the battlefield. People laugh and say that they are brazening them out with Kalashnikovs!!...We say: Yes! We did brazen them out with Kalashnikovs, after that Allah helped us. And fighting with these simple weapons is possible.
USSR was the mammoth that used to make NATO quiver with fright. NATO - the union of so many European states - was afraid to provoke it into fighting! America used to be full of intimidation. A cold war prevailed...but never did it heat up...because war with the Soviets was one of America's worst fears. The Mujahideen fought them with these negligible weapons and defeated them with the Grace and Help of Allah.
So it is vital to understand how much preparation and provision is practically needed to thwart the enemy. It is not necessary to turn up with armament, fighter jets and armored vehicles that outmatch theirs in order to defeat them. If it does become available, it will be Allah's favor upon us. If not, it is possible to beat them even then, the same way that Russia was beaten.
Another thing that should be kept in mind is that the stage we are living today is the stage of 'destructing'. Kufr has set up a global establishment. There is the United Nations and a structure intact beneath it. The United States and the Jewish lobby head an entire system. We have to demolish all of this before anything else. Once the 'gargantua' is uprooted and the colossus collapses, then would it become possible to restore the Caliphate...
It is not difficult to understand that 'destructing' always requires lesser force. For instance, America spent billions of dollars to build a colossal structure: the Twin Towers, which were struck by the Mujahideen at September the 11th. What did it take them to reduce it to rubble? The blood of nineteen martyrs! ...They took flight from the enemy's airports, made use of their airplanes and hit them back into their towers. So what was the expense? What technology was brought into play? To the very most, the Mujahideen bore the expenses of the attackers' training and travelling, and that was the total effort they had to apply.
The same goes with the Destroyer USS Cole, to which they used to assign all sorts of attributes. What did Allah make use of for its destruction? ...A lifeboat!! A couple of Mujahedeen boarded it and blew it up against the destroyer, and it was left ineffectual and routed.
Based on this example, one can assume further. The dexterous enemy wrings its brains and their engineers huddle up in some glossy industrial unit to come up with - let's say - an impressive new model of a tank. Here, a simple Afghani brother prepares five of ten kilograms of explosive in a pressure-cooker or a bucket, applies it beneath that tank and blows it up! Even if you compare the costs, the difference is enormous. One who frees his conscious from the awe of kufr and observes the ground realities from inside the battleground, gets to know that it takes much less to thwart kufr than what people have supposed.
The last - but not at all the least - aspect in this regard is that we do not overcome the Kuffâr with our force and material strength. We provide material strength in mere compliance with Allah's command: وَأَعِدُّواْ لَهُم مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُم "Make ready for them all you can." What does this have to do with victory or defeat? Victory and defeat is something related purely with Allah's help and support. This is the secret behind 313 Companions رضى الله عنهم أجمعين triumphing over an army of one thousand. But then, it were the same Companions رضى الله عنهم أجمعين who set out on the Day of Huneyn, and it occurred to them that we are in great numbers today; how can we be defeated today while we were not overcome when we were 313? ...And so Allah addressed them in Surah Al-Taubah:
"...and on the day of Huneyn, when you exulted in your multitude but it availed you naught, and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you; then you turned back in flight."
Means were provided and force was present! But Allah says that it did not avail you in the slightest. It has been narrated that other than the Prophet of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم, nearly the entire army had turned back in flight. Truly, this verse does require reflection:
"And We wished to show favor unto those who were weak (and oppressed) in the earth, and to make them rulers and to make them the inheritors."
As-Sahab: Amongst some religious sectors, the Mujahideen are criticized that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had been a safe haven, an abode and a base for the Mujahideen from all over the world. But the Muslims provoked the Kuffâr into fighting at a stage when they were not fully prepared to resist them. Don't you feel that the 'premature' September raids 'invited' America to attack...which is said to have caused the fall of the Islamic Emirate?
Ustâdh Ahmad: It appears that this query is raised by those who do not remember the world before these events. Let me ask: Did the Jews enter Palestine after 9/11? Did India occupy Kashmir after 9/11? The establishment set up by America in order to subjugate the Muslims of the world and establish its international authority i.e. the authority of someone other than Allah - did it came into being after 9/11? All what the Muslims endured in Bosnia - the thousands who were slaughtered in each of the cities while Europe was the bystander - did all this happen after 9/11?
This question actually does not make any sense. Because if we review the situation prior to these attacks, we see that the Ummah lived in a state of utmost humiliation, and was being mugged in every corner of the globe. This was what we faced. The eleventh of September transformed this scenario...it turned the course of the river and veered the direction of the winds!
Allah blessed the blood of those nineteen martyrs with great inspiration; and the goblet of humiliation we were gulping down since such a long time; the enemy got to taste it for once. It was the first time that kufr was struck upon its own land, and was left stunned with it. And the sequence did not discontinue here...it marked the beginning of a chain reaction. Then came 7/7, the Madrid blasts and the succession carried on. By the Grace of Allah, it is still in progression and shall continue in future, Allah willing...
Thus, a new spirit was born in the Ummah. It came to realize for the first time since the Caliphate fell, that it could stand up to kufr and defy it, and could be reinstated to the status of "the just and best nation" and the ruler and the inheritor Ummah which Allah had bestowed upon it. And this was all through the blessings of Jihad. So 9/11 did not worsen the situation; rather, the state of affairs was altered for once, and the Kuffâr were forced to pay back for the horrors they had been inflicting upon the Muslims. This is one aspect of the argument.
The other thing is that there was no other way to fell a monster like America except that it approached Muslim land itself. Stationed far afield, it was controlling us as though with a remote-control: through our marionette rulers. It is by the Grace of Allah that it has come within our reach. If this question had been asked right after 9/11 or a year or two later, it would have carried significance. But today, seven years have gone by; and the world has seen whether the Ummah benefited or lost more? America has been devastated with the passing years. It has given the time-frame of getting out of Iraq, while negotiations in Afghanistan are being talked about. The likes of its economy breakdown has never been seen throughout its history. There is another great benefit these attacks brought - by the Grace and Blessing of Allah. America had hidden its charlatanic face with an innocent mask...and many amongst the Muslim Ummah considered it to be different than Russia...to be 'civilized'. Allah set straight the truth. Whatever happened in Guantanamo...the horrors of Abu Ghuraib; this was how Allah revealed the hideous, Crusader and secular face of America in front of the world. This is none but a blessing of the Jihad...the blessing of the Tuesday attacks.
So the fruit is perennial. These attacks were the starting point of the deterioration which the American establishment suffers, and of the fatality of the West and the NATO coalition that becomes more obvious by the minute.
Another great blessing among the blessings of these raids was that Allah clarified the Ummah's creed upon it. The understanding of الولاء والبراء (alliance and enmity) that had been lost since decades was revived. And with that, Allah divided every people...including Ulema, commoners of the society, the rulers and their armies into two factions. A Hadîth mentions regarding the last times, that the people will split up into two groups: فسطاط إيمان لا نفاق فيه "the pavilion of Faith, which will have no trace of Hypocrisy in it" and فسطاط نفاق لا إيمان فيه "the pavilion of Hypocrisy, which will have no trace of Faith in it". Every people of insight can observe this today. Islam had already said that the policy of لاَ إِلَى هَـؤُلاء وَلاَ إِلَى هَـؤُلاء [(belonging) neither to these nor to those] shall not be accepted. But now even the chief of kufr, Bush, has affirmed that: "either you are with us...or you're with the terrorists"...as they call the Mujahideen. And so the world has split into two parts.
The Ummah's creed had become murky and it had forgotten how to differentiate between its friends and foes - all at the hands of the deception and scheming of the Kuffâr, and through their educational system and media. Allah revived the discernment, the lost creed and the spirit of Jihad due to these blessed raids.
As far as the Islamic Emirate is concerned, its return seems in next to no time, Allah willing. The control of the Mujahideen over the Southern territory is obvious. Except over a few central locations in the major cities, such as the main markets and their adjacency...the local emirs appointed by the Amir of the Believers - Mulla Umar حفظه الله - give the orders. Allah willing, the signs of the reinstatement of the Emirate and the withdrawal and collapse of America are too evident.
Some time ago we received news that they had launched a grand operation in Helmand. But in a few days time, the British army was inflicted with such severe losses that there was an uproar of protest from inside Britain itself, and now they have been forced to reconsider withdrawing forces. Thus, the setback is momentary, and Allah willing, the past grandeur will return with much more strength than before.

The Arctic Ocean, in particular that part of it under the ice cap, is Russia’s last retaliatory refuge, that spot on the earth where any element of its strategic forces is comparatively safe from a Western first strike and least targetable by interceptor missiles after such an attack.
That Canada has advanced to the front rank of Western nations confronting and challenging a disproportionately stronger Russia in the Arctic strongly suggests that it has been put up to the task. Being a smaller and weaker nation allows it to be cast in the role of a sympathetic victim of “Russian aggression,” much like Estonia two years ago with alleged cyber attacks and Georgia last year after its invasion of South Ossetia. Leading Western elected officials were champing at the bit to activate NATO’s Article 5 in the last two cases (even though Georgia is not yet a full member of the bloc), and Canada could provide a casus belli impossible to resist.
This year is ending as it began, with heightened U.S. interest in the Arctic Ocean. For energy, transportation and military purposes. Especially the third.
An American website has scanned and posted a 36-page document released by the U.S. Department of the Navy on November 10, 2009 called Navy Arctic Roadmap [1]
The paper states that “The primary policy guidance statements influencing this roadmap are the National Security Presidential Directive 66/Homeland Security Presidential Directive 25 (NSPD 66/HSPD 25) and the Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower (CS21).” [2] The second policy document was issued by the U.S. Navy on October of 2007 and the first, the National Security Directive, was written on January 9 of this year. The key components of January’s National Security Directive are these, the first reproduced verbatim:
“The United States has broad and fundamental national security interests in the Arctic region and is prepared to operate either independently or in conjunction with other states to safeguard these interests. These interests include such matters as missile defense and early warning; deployment of sea and air systems for strategic sealift, strategic deterrence, maritime presence, and maritime security operations; and ensuring freedom of navigation and overflight.”
The document also speaks unapologetically of the intent to “Preserve the global mobility of United States military and civilian vessels and aircraft throughout the Arctic region” and stipulates in its fourth point that “The Senate should act favorably on U.S. accession to the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea promptly, to protect and advance U.S. interests, including with respect to the Arctic. Joining will serve the national security interests of the United States, including the maritime mobility of our Armed Forces worldwide. It will secure U.S. sovereign rights over extensive marine areas, including the valuable natural resources they contain.” [4]
A Russian news source commented four days after the directive’s release as follows: “In his final days in power, President George W. Bush asserted U.S. military ’sea power’ over the oil-rich Arctic in a fresh effort to ensure permanent American presence in the region and the deployment of missile defense facilities there.
“According to the text of a sweeping new directive on the Arctic released just eight days before Barack Obama is to be sworn in, the United States declares the territories within the Arctic Circle a zone of its strategic interests and the new Administration is advised to expand the US foothold in the Arctic.” [5]
Indeed the new American administration has here as in most every other instance proven a faithful enforcer of its predecessor’s geopolitical blueprints.
Less than three weeks after the Bush White House unveiled its new Arctic strategy, NATO held a hastily convened two-day meeting in Iceland attended by its secretary general and its top military commanders. The get-together, called a Seminar on Security Prospects in the High North, dutifully followed the American Arctic initiative and proclaimed that “the High North is going to require even more of the Alliance’s attention in the coming years.” [6]
Four of the five official Arctic claimants – the U.S., Canada, Denmark and Norway – were represented as founding members of the military bloc; Russia was not invited to send even an observer.
Another Russian news report wrote of the inescapable logic of the meeting: “NATO is seriously thinking of [establishing] military presence in the Arctic. It considers global warming and consequently an Arctic thaw as an occasion for this. NATO sees this as a possibility for its Arctic expansion.
“When taking into account the fact that all Arctic littoral nations but Russia are NATO member countries, it is quite clear who the alliance considers its rival in this region.” [7]
In the intervening months the four NATO members with longstanding territorial claims in the region – Canada, Denmark, Norway and the United States – have made military moves into the Arctic Circle in fulfillment of the Alliance’s pledge in January.
Norway has moved its Operational Command Headquarters into the Arctic and purchased 48 Lockheed F-35 fighter jets for Arctic patrols, and Denmark announced plans to establish an all-service Arctic Command, an Arctic Response Force and a military buildup at the Thule airbase in Greenland, to be shared with its NATO allies. [8]
Great Britain, Finland and Sweden have been conscripted into the common effort, the latter two nations having been surreptitiously integrated into NATO behind the backs of their peoples. [9]
But it is Canada that has been appointed the role of vanguard in the impending showdown with Russia over the Arctic. Specifically, over the Lomonosov Ridge which runs 1,800 kilometers from Russia’s New Siberian Islands through the center of the Arctic Ocean to Canada’s Ellesmere Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. [10]
Ottawa has conducted its largest-ever military exercises, established new bases and exhibited increasing truculence and saber rattling toward Russia in the region.
Washington, although it along with Brussels is employing Canada to confront Russia at the top of the world, is not shy in asserting its own military presence and pursuing its own geostrategic objectives in the Arctic.
The Navy Arctic Roadmap – a curious choice of nouns when speaking of a part of the globe without land – as the document itself takes pains to point out, proceeds from the National Security Directive of the beginning of the year and reaffirms most of the latter’s major goals.
It highlights these strategic components for the intensified application of military deployments in the Arctic region:

The Navy Arctic Roadmap also states that “the naval services must be prepared to prevent or limit regional conflict when required,” giving particular emphasis to strategic deterrence and ballistic missile defense. [11]
A reiteration of the priorities itemized in the National Security Presidential Directive 66 ten months earlier.
What the practical implementation of this policy means is the expanded penetration of the Arctic Circle by the U.S. Navy’s submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) third of the American nuclear triad, as will be examined later, and the extension of plans for a U.S.-NATO-Asian NATO worldwide interceptor missile system already being put into place near Russia’s western, southern and eastern borders. U.S. and NATO radar, submarine and missile deployments in the so-called High North will complete the encirclement.
The U.S. and Britain have conducted joint submarine warfare exercises under the polar ice cap twice in the last two years, Operation Ice Exercise 2007 and Operation Ice Exercise 2009. A U.S. Navy website said during the first exercise that “The submarine force continues to use the Arctic Ocean as an alternate route for shifting submarines between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans….Submarines can reach the western Pacific directly by transiting through international waters of the Arctic rather than through the Panama Canal.” [12]
The Arctic Ocean, in particular that part of it under the ice cap, is Russia’s last retaliatory refuge, that spot on the earth where any element of its strategic forces is comparatively safe from a Western first strike and least targetable by interceptor missiles after such an attack.
Earlier this month the American attack submarine the USS Texas “completed an Arctic mission, with some U.S. media outlets noting the nuclear-powered submarine broke through the ice near the North Pole and stayed on the surface for 24 hours.” [13]
A Canadian news agency reported that the government’s Foreign Affairs spokesman Alain Cacchione “said information about submarine operations is considered secret. He noted…that Canada permits shipping through its Arctic waters….” [14]
A rather broad definition of shipping, to be sure, but Cacchione’s attempt at evasiveness wore thin when he added “There are safety protocols in place under NATO that provide for the exchange of information on allied submarine movements….” [15] That is, the U.S. submarine was off the Canadian coast with Ottawa’s full knowledge. And blessings. “The U.S. navy did not release details on what, if any, weapons tests were performed by the Texas.” Nor did the Canadian government ask, even though January’s U.S. National Security Directive explicitly challenges Canada’s claim to exclusive rights over the legendary Northwest Passage, now navigable for the first time in recorded history.
Instead, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon “have taken a hard line in regard to excursions by the Russians into the Arctic. Earlier this year, [Defence Minister Peter] MacKay accused the Russians of sending military aircraft too close to Canadian northern airspace. He vowed that Canadian Forces CF-18 fighter aircraft would intercept Russian aircraft each and every time they came near the country.”
By excursions are meant routine patrols over neutral, international waters conducted according to the terms of the relevant treaties.
“In March, Cannon said Canada ‘will not be bullied’ by a Russian plan to create a new security force for the Arctic.” [16]
If loose lips could sink ships, Harper, Cannon and McKay would have sent the entire Russian navy to the bottom of the Arctic and the North Atlantic. All three have delivered a steady stream of exhortations, bluster and downright threats to Russia throughout the year.
This blunt, eminently non-diplomatic, and incessant saber rattling by a relatively minor military and international political player would not persist for as long as it has – questionable domestic gains notwithstanding – if the three ministers were not assured of support from the United States and NATO. In the second case, the Article 5 mutual obligation to engage in armed intervention if any member state requests it. In fact Canada has nothing to back it up except for its military ties with Washington and the Alliance.
That Canada has advanced to the front rank of Western nations confronting and challenging a disproportionately stronger Russia in the Arctic strongly suggests that it has been put up to the task. Being a smaller and weaker nation allows it to be cast in the role of a sympathetic victim of “Russian aggression,” much like Estonia two years ago with alleged cyber attacks and Georgia last year after its invasion of South Ossetia. Leading Western elected officials were champing at the bit to activate NATO’s Article 5 in the last two cases (even though Georgia is not yet a full member of the bloc), and Canada could provide a casus belli impossible to resist.
In line with that scenario, the Canadian foreign affairs minister, the self-styled Lawrence of the Arctic, was back on the warpath on November 23, warning “the world…that this country will respond ‘firmly’ when other nations ‘push the envelope’ with military exercises or other provocative actions anywhere along Canada’s northern frontier.” [17]
He was not, of course, referring to the United States or Great Britain or Denmark, who as NATO allies are allowed to parade their military presence off Canada’s coast as they choose to do. He singled out Russia.
Cannon spoke three days after U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates addressed the Halifax International Security Forum in Nova Scotia. “The future of NATO and international claims on untapped Arctic oil [also] dominated discussions, largely behind closed doors, between Gates and top officials from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Japan, Germany, India, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.
“Gates announced…that Washington planned to boost cooperation with Canada in the Arctic, as Russia and others eye its vast energy and mineral resources.” [18]
Cannon’s – laughable except for the broader context – comments were made at the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto where he retrieved a chestnut from the archives (“Arctic superpower” and “energy superpower” from last August) and “said the country’s future as an ‘energy superpower’ is closely tied to potentially rich deposits of Arctic oil and gas on land and seabed.” [19]
This year’s study by the U.S. Geological Survey “assessed the area north of the Arctic Circle and concluded that about 30% of the world’s undiscovered gas and 13% of the world’s undiscovered oil may be found there, mostly offshore under less than 500 meters of water. Undiscovered natural gas is three times more abundant than oil in the Arctic and is largely concentrated in Russia.” [20]
Hence Cannon’s assertion that “This is why we react so strongly when other nations, like Russia, engage in exercises and other activities that appear to challenge our security in the North….” [21]
Three North American news sources, one Canadian and two U.S., all not unsympathetic to the initiative, recently wrote about the new Navy Arctic Roadmap.
The National Post recently published this:
“The U.S. Navy is planning a massive push into the Arctic to defend national security, potential undersea riches and other maritime interests.
“An ‘Arctic road map’ released by the Department of the Navy details a five-year strategic plan to expand fleet operations into the North in the expectation the frozen Arctic Ocean will be open water in summer by 2030.
“[I]t is clear the United States is intent on seriously retooling its military presence and naval combat capabilities in a region increasingly seen as a potential flashpoint as receding polar ice allows easier access.” [22]
An American source which linked the online version of the Roadmap added of it in relation to U.S.-Canadian collaboration in the Arctic:
“It includes a comprehensive, three-phase outline of measures the Navy hopes to undertake in the Arctic region within four years: develop new, resilient vessels and weaponry; map the seabed floor for potential resources and geological information; and innovate diagnostic tools to more accurately predict when the cap will thaw.
“Even as the ratification process lurches through the Senate, the U.S. Navy is launching the first phases of its program. In August, Navy service-members and administrators took part in a Canadian training program, Nanook, where they learned tactical strategy for rugged climates and underwent disaster-relief training. In October, the United States Naval War College hosted the 19th biennial Seapower Symposium, where American and Canadian Naval administrators discussed their 6,500-nautical-mile dispute over waterway boundaries.” [23]
Third, with the unabashed title of “U.S. Navy Prepares for Militarization of the Arctic,” another report revealed that “the U.S. Navy is…planning for potential combat situations that may arise once global warming has melted the Arctic Ocean’s summer ice within two decades. A 35-page memo from the Department of the Navy spells out a five-year plan expressing the need to develop new technology and strategies in the event things become contentious in the open waters of the Arctic Circle by 2030.” [24]
As the U.S. and NATO campaign in Afghanistan is being intensified to an all-time high level of fighting (with more foreign troops in that nation than at any previous period in its history), with the Pentagon expanding into Colombia in a move that could trigger a regional and even continental war, and with Western proxies in the South Caucasus eager to launch new armed hostilities on Russia’s southern border, even the top of the world, the remote Arctic Circle, is not being spared the threat of war.

Kim De Gelder : retour au centre d’extermination de Bruges

Le jeune homme qui a poignardé une vieille dame, puis 12 bébés et 3 puéricultrices, tuant 2 adultes et 2 enfants en janvier 2009, a été renvoyé au « bloc Guantanamo » du centre d’extermination de Bruges, « par mesure de sécurité », selon le parquet de Termonde, « pour raison de santé », selon son avocat.
Kim De Gelder, un garçon attribué un nom de fille, est présumé, comme 100% des meurtriers en série, avoir été objet de déni de protection, suite à des abus durant son enfance. Le ministère a envoyé le jeune homme au bloc Guantanamo, qui réserve des conditions de détention terrifiantes avec pour objectif de briser les prisonniers les plus coriaces, sous prétexte de « le protéger de tentatives de meurtre ». Le règlement limitant ces mesures à six mois, Kim De Gelder a été transféré en août à la prison d’Oudenaarde pour trois mois, avant d’être ramené à Bruges. Au-delà du motif sécurité, « son état de santé demande un accompagnement permanent tant au niveau psychiatrique que psychologique qui peut être prodigué de façon plus intensive dans cette section », aurait dit Me Jaak Haentjens.
La prison de Bruges est destinée à sanctionner les prisonniers au-delà de la privation de liberté, ce qui est illégal, pour les conditions de détention les plus dures de Belgique. Le ministère assure les services d’un « conseiller moral » et ancien gardien de prison, qu’ils peuvent rencontrer deux fois, quand ils ont survécus à deux tentatives de suicide. Le psychiatre n’apparaît qu’une seule fois, quand le prisonnier survit à la troisième tentative de suicide.
Le régime du block Guantanamo prévoit de soumettre les prisonniers à deux viols par jours, ce qui s’appelle « fouille complète », obligeant un gardien de prison à leur mettre un doigt dans le derrière, sous prétexte d’y rechercher un objet dangereux. Me Sven Mary a décrit une situation « pire que l’enfer, hallucinante » où l’on refuse jusqu’à une brosse à dents ou des médicaments aux détenus. Pas de contact avec l’extérieur, pas de visites sauf celle, surveillée, de son avocat, pas de courrier, pas de cours par correspondance. Le prisonnier est isolé 23 heures sur 24. Il a droit à une « promenade » dans une cage grillagée, avec une bande pour paralyser leurs bras, des menottes aux poignets et aux chevilles. Le tribunal des référés de Liège a condamné l’état belge pour ces conditions, retenues comme relevant des traitements inhumains et dégradants, mais le ministre de la justice fait appel !
Les experts ont établi que Kim De Gelder avait calculé ses crimes. Ils ont donc écarté le coup de folie, ce qui oblige la Belgique à lui assurer un procès public. Les secrets présumés du jeune homme suffisent à motiver le ministère à commanditer « l’extinction des procédures » par le suicide du prisonnier, une mission qui incombe à ses services psychosociaux. Ces « services » sont en effet attribués le droit de voler le courrier des prisonniers, de leur interdire les soins de santé. Ils ont aussi le devoir de justifier des sanctions déguisées pour pousser les prisonniers au suicide, ou au contraire, privilégier les chouchous du ministre.
Si Kim De Gelder doit répondre de crimes terribles, rien ne justifie qu’il soit limité à une heure de sortie par jour, pieds et poings liés dans une cage à ciel ouvert, alors que Marc Dutroux est pomponné, emmené à l’hôpital en hélicoptère et qu’il a le droit de jouer au football. Kim De Gelder doit être traité comme n’importe quel prisonnier en détention préventive pour meurtres, ce qui ne prévoit pas de le soumettre à des conditions inhumaines et dégradantes.

A brave Afghan kid aged 14 years old killed an American terrorist after he hit his neck with a sword on Tuesday (24/09) in the region of Mamlah, Ninjihar. The kid also managed to escape after the attack. It was said that this is not the first time Afghan children killed invading terrorists. These heroic acts by the children were as a result of their furious anger against the invader forces who have dishonoured their lives and brought death and destructions to their homeland. In fact, four years ago Syahid Abdul Karim who was also a kid aged 10 years, succeeded in killing an American terrorist after he beat him with an axe in the town of Bahto, Kandahar.
